FAQs
Wondering if Bridge2Bloom is right for your family? Here’s what many parents ask when getting started.
How can a special education advocate help me?
A special education advocate can help you understand your rights and your child’s rights under IDEA and Section 504. At Bridge2Bloom, we break down the legal jargon and help you prepare for school meetings so your child gets supports and services they need.
What qualifications does a special education advocate need?
There are no official licenses or requirements to call yourself a special education advocate, but experience and training matter. At Bridge2Bloom, founder Stephanie Plessy holds Board Certification in Special Education Advocacy from the American Academy of Special Education Professionals. She brings 14 years of experience working in schools, supporting students with disabilities and partnering with families like yours.
How do I know if I need more resources or if I should hire an advocate?
The world of special education, Section 504, and student supports can be overwhelming and stressful. You do not have to navigate it alone. Bridge2Bloom can help if you’re:
Trying to understand your child’s IEP or 504 Plan
Unsure what to say or ask at school meetings
Worried your child isn’t getting the support they need
We’re here to listen, answer questions, and guide you toward the right next step.
